The Sainik School Bijapur campus is full of activities. There is no holiday for the campus in April and May. The place is adding more to the existing infrastructure.
The compound wall of each hostel is raised and steel frames placed to provide more safety and security to the cadets. Dry taps are a thing of the past. The cadets get 24X7 running water with installing of eight syntax tanks of 1000 liters capacity in each hostel. These tanks are filled once in the morning and once in the evening. In addition, each bath room is supplied with hot water for bathing by installing solar water heaters on the terrace of all barracks of all houses. The old class room furniture –desk and chairs of the students, are repainted and placed in the recreation hall for use during study hours. Fresh, clean and cool drinking water purifying plant is installed and maintained approximately at a cost of Rs two lakhs in each of the hostels.
